Overview

Intelligent Geotechnics is perceived as the development trend of the geotechnical engineering industry that aims to integrate artificial intelligence, machine learning, data science, new-generation information and communication technologies (i.e., fifth generation mobile networks (5G)), and internet of things (IoT) with traditional geotechnical and geoscience research and development to create more innovative, secure, cost-effective and reliable solutions for the design and construction of geotechnical infrastructures.

The major theme of this international symposium is to review the current developments of interdisciplinary research between geotechnics, geoscience, artificial intelligence, and data science, as well as to explore the potentials and opportunities of integrating existing/emerging artificial intelligence, machine learning, 5G and IoT techniques into the conventional research and practice in geotechnical engineering, engineering geology, geoscience and other related fields.
