The 51. Geomechanics Colloquium on November, 18, 2022, organized by the Chair for Rock Mechanics at the Technical University Bergakademie Freiberg, Germany, is a very traditional and major event for the rock mechanical community in Central Europe. Speakers and guests are mainly from Europe, but some are also from other continents. This colloquium covers rock engineering as well as research in rock mechanics. The oral presentations are accompanied by posters, an exhibition and an ITASCA presentation on the day before the colloquium. The papers will be published in proceedings as institute publication.
