AusIMM, together with conference co-host UNSW, welcomed over 350 delegates to Melbourne in November for AusRock 2022.

Keynote lecture from Prof. Charlie Li, Vice Editor-in-Chief of JRMGE

Over three days attendees were treated to thought-provoking presentations from global experts that showcased leading technologies, best practice and research in ground control techniques. Presentations explored: rock mechanics, rock behaviours, structural stability, mining systems, monitoring and instrumentation, data management and AI, as well as approaches to geotechnical challenges in extreme environments including deep mining, underwater mining, and planetary science - with delegates seeing slides from NASA’s final moon mission!
