Aims and Scopes

Welcome to the special issue of the 2023 International Geomechanics Conference, showcasing the forefront of advancements, insights, and breakthroughs in the field of geomechanics. Geomechanics, at the intersection of geology, mechanics, and engineering, plays a pivotal role in understanding the behavior of geological materials and their interaction with engineered structures. The 2023 conference served as a dynamic platform for the exchange of ideas, methodologies, and findings, addressing critical challenges and opportunities in geomechanics. Throughout this special issue, readers will delve into a diverse array of topics spanning from fundamental principles to cutting-edge applications in geomechanics.
